Home Visits

Home visits are conducted as part of our outreach program to get to know our participants better. It is also a good platform to understand better the participant’s family and way of life. Timings for home visits are flexible and conducted on a regular basis.

“It is important to listen to them and not be judgmental. It doesn’t really matter if what they say is really true facts but to acknowledge their reality,”

“Hamidah and Dr Radhiah insisted that there is no time to wait anymore, they have waited for nine whole years and he isn’t getting better. If your baby is sick wouldn’t you get him medication immediately, just because it is a mental problem and not a so-called physical illness doesn’t mean he does not need medical attention. It is a physical illness as it affects the brain, a physical part of the body and there are imbalances in the brain chemicals that can be corrected with medications.”

Quote of the Month

“Every one of you is a shepherd and is responsible for his flock. The leader of people is a guardian and is responsible for his subjects. A man is the guardian of his family and he is responsible for them. A woman is the guardian of her husband’s home and their children and she is responsible for them. The servant of a man is a guardian of the property of his master and he is responsible for it. No doubt, every one of you is a shepherd and is responsible for his flock.” – hadith from al-Bukhari and Muslim
